Ethics

When conducting our research, we had to be very aware of the ethics concerning our research. This meant that as researchers we had to ensure that we were honest and respectful to all individuals who participate in our research. This meant that we had to prepare an ethics approval form to send off to our supervisors to ensure that we had taken an ethical approach to collecting our research. This was initially a worrying thing to understand as I’ve never had to do anything that required ethically approval, however with support of my fellow classmates I was able to complete the ethics form to standard and got approval. Below is my consent form which received approval from my supervisor and then has allowed me to go on and perform my research. After creating my consent form and having it signed off via my supervisor my next steps within this project is to create a consent form.

Using various examples of consent forms, I adapted them to fit my project and sent it off to my interviewee in order to gain his consent before any research collection takes place, along with he knows that he can withdraw anytime he wants.
